At film school I took a cinematography class. As part of a class assignment, we were to shoot a roll of 16mm film. We were required to demonstrate our understanding of the camera by incorporating different focal lengths, film speeds, f-stops, and camera movement and placement. For the assignment we were issued the school owned Arriflex 16. It is an older camera but perfect for learning the basics of cinematography. On this day I went with my group mates to the top of a downtown parking garage in Wilmington, NC to shoot a roll. I took this opportunity to bring my film camera along to document.
